The Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at GIMS is an intensive 4-year undergraduate professional degree program designed to provide students with a deep understanding of the chemical processes and substances that occur within living organisms. Integrating principles from biological sciences, molecular biology, genetics, and chemistry, this program addresses the soaring global demand for healthcare, diagnostic, and research professionals.
Students at GIMS study metabolic pathways, molecular biology, genetics, enzyme functions, and biochemical techniques, progressing into advanced laboratories and practical clinical internships. Backed by supervised laboratory sessions, a healthcare-focused environment, and a final-year Research Project/Internship, GIMS graduates are fully prepared to conduct experiments, analyze biochemical data, and contribute to medical and industrial advancements in hospital labs, biotechnology firms, research centers, and pharmaceutical industries.
Practice on modern biochemical analyzers and PCR machines.
Curriculum explicitly designed to meet medical diagnostic needs.
Present your findings in regular research seminars and group reviews.
Acquire placement in leading pharmaceutical firms and hospital labs.
Learn directly from experienced doctorates in biochemical sciences.
Conduct your own final year lab project with direct advisor feedback.
Analyze biochemical samples in pathology laboratories
Ensure raw materials and products meet safety standards
