The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (BS Mathematics) at GIMS is a rigorous 4-year undergraduate program designed to cultivate deep analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and complex problem-solving abilities. Mathematics serves as the foundational language of modern science, technology, engineering, finance, and economics. This program equips students with the quantitative tools and theoretical foundations required to lead innovation and research in academic and industrial settings.
Our curriculum offers a comprehensive journey from fundamental calculus, set theory, and algebra to advanced topology, functional analysis, numerical methods, and mathematical physics. By integrating key computing courses such as Programming Fundamentals and Software Packages, GIMS BS Mathematics graduates acquire the practical ability to simulate, model, and solve complex real-world systems.
Study both theoretical mathematical structures and practical applied mathematics.
Learn Python, R, and MATLAB for advanced numerical simulations.
Present and analyze modern mathematical proofs in weekly seminars.
Learn from dedicated research mathematicians with Ph.D. qualifications.
Open doors to banking, data science, actuarial jobs, and teaching.
Complete a capstone research project mapping mathematics to real-world issues.
Conduct studies in pure and applied mathematics at research institutions.
Extract, analyze, and visualize structural data trends for organizations.
Calculate statistical insurance risk factors and pension margins.
Assess potential market fluctuations and design portfolio safety margins.
Design automated trading algorithms and price exotic financial assets.
Teach mathematics and logical thinking in secondary and higher education.
Formulate prime-number-based algorithms to secure sensitive communication systems.
Build numerical simulations to forecast weather, logistics, and resource flows.
Original semester-by-semester plan — applicable to students admitted before 2026 intake.
