Lecturer and Project Management Officer
With a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s in Innovative Technologies in Learning, I am currently serving as a Lecturer in Computer Science and Project Management Officer at the Gujrat Institute of Management Sciences (GIMS). My educational background has equipped me with a unique blend of technical knowledge and pedagogical skills, enabling me to engage and inspire students effectively.
I am passionate about the intersection of education and technology, with particular research interests in educational technology and Generative AI. My teaching philosophy centers on placing students at the heart of every learning activity. I believe that an engaging and student-centric approach fosters a deeper understanding of the subject matter, encouraging learners to become active participants in their educational journey.
Awais Ilyas Baig is a dedicated educator and technology advocate, currently serving as a Lecturer in Computer Science and Project Management Officer at the Gujrat Institute of Management Sciences (GIMS). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a Master’s in Innovative Technologies in Learning, which have provided him with a solid foundation in both technical skills and educational methodologies.
In his academic role, Awais is committed to fostering a student-centered learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and active participation. His teaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of engaging students in their own learning processes, allowing them to explore and innovate within the rapidly evolving fields of technology and education.
Before joining GIMS, I worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at NUST. In this role, I focused on educational technology and AI content creation, exploring innovative methods to enhance learning experiences through technology.
