Community Basic Life Support Training Course
Three-day Training course Community Basic Life Support and Fire Safety organized by GIMS student’s society of Gujrat Institute of Management Sciences, Gujrat with the collaboration of Emergency Service Academy Rescue 1122, Gujrat. The training session emphasized the hands-on training of students.
1st Day Training
Mr. Zaki Haider Warraich, Rescue & Safety Officer and his team were reached at 9:30 am at GIMS. Training session started with the recitation of Holy Quran and Naat. Mr Zaki Haider briefed our students and faculty members about the rescue 1122 services and current statistics of accidents in district Gujrat. The students attended the pre-test and reviewed their rescue knowledge. The rescue officer taught them Choking, Color Coding, Spinal Injury, emergency moves.
2nd Day Training
The second started with the recitation of Holy Quran and Naat. In 2nd day of training, students were taught about Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) practical. Officer gave them motivational talk on enrollment of rescue volunteers and circulated the volunteer forms among the students.
3rd Day of Training
The last day of training started with the recitation of Holy Quran and Naat. The third was all about the fire safety and preventions. Rescue trainer gave the lecture on a component of fire and fire extinguishing. They learned and performed drills in the campus.
Thirty students participated in rescue 1122 three-day training session and appreciate such training session at the campus. Director Mr Aamir Nabi Rana highly appreciated the cooperation of Rescue Officer Mr Zaki Haider and his team. The 25 students of GIMS passed the final exam the training course, and they were awarded certificates Campus Head addressed the students and stress upon the importance of volunteer work, he presented a souvenir to rescue trainers.
